China Petroleum News "The era of easy exploitation of oil and gas has come to an end, and the sustainable development of the oil and gas industry is increasingly dependent on technological innovation. In 2012, the number of first patent applications in the global oil and gas field reached a peak of 25,807, and patent applications with priority in China accounted for 25,807. 54%. China has become the main force of technology research and development in the global oil and gas field.” On September 18, China Petroleum Economic and Technological Research Institute, the largest petroleum economic technology information resource center in China, released the “Foreign Petroleum Technology Development Report (2014)” in Beijing. (hereinafter referred to as the "Report").
According to the analysis of the "Report", the world's oil and gas exploration and production is facing multiple challenges such as heavy and inferior resources, complicated development conditions and strict environmental protection requirements. Among the resources to be discovered, the proportion of conventional resources that are easy to exploit is decreasing year by year. Onshore conventional resources account for only 11%, offshore conventional resources account for 4%, and unconventional resources account for more than half, reaching 52%.
In order to meet the challenging resource opportunities in the future, major international oil companies are scrambling to carry out technological innovations in the fields of deepwater, arctic, unconventional and old oilfields to enhance oil recovery. The number of patent applications in the global oil and gas field has increased significantly. The "Report" shows that from 2004 to 2013, the global oil and gas field applied for an average of 47,000 applications per year, an increase of nearly 1.4 times compared with the previous 10 years. Among the 11 major innovation countries, China has been active, and its innovation achievements have increased year by year. The proportion of patent applications with priority rights has risen from 9% in 2003 to 54% in 2012, becoming the driving force behind global drilling, oil and gas exploration, and oil refining. The main force behind the growth of patent filings in the field.
At the press conference, the "Report" compilation team discussed the latest progress of the world's hot oil technologies such as enhanced oil recovery technology in foreign old oilfields, key technologies for tight oil development, Arctic oil and gas exploration and development technology, deep water and ultra-deep water exploration and development technology, and world heavy oil processing technology. , for analysis and forecasting.
The release of the "Report" coincides with the year when my country's "Thirteenth Five-Year" scientific and technological development plan is formulated, and will provide a reliable basis for the formulation of China's petroleum technology innovation and development plan. The technologies researched and tracked in the "Report" are closely integrated with the development needs of China's petroleum business, and have practical significance for guiding the development and progress of practical work.
