Polyurea Grease--High Speed Motor Bearing Grease

POLY-PLATE EP series greases feature next-generation polyurea-based thickening technology that has been specially designed to provide performance and stability in motor bearings and balls or lightly loaded rollers operating at high temperatures. This series is characterized by good mechanical shear stability, anti-rust, anti-settling and special protection under the most severe conditions of high temperature and high speed.
Features:
Thermally stable for extreme pressure protection
This grease is packaged with a proprietary Extreme Pressure (EP) additive that provides load carrying capability without degrading the thermal stability of the grease at high temperatures. Conventional sulfur- or phosphorus-based extreme pressure additives used in other multipurpose greases begin to oxidize rapidly at temperatures above 2500F (1210C). This grease raises the performance benchmark by providing advanced wear and extreme pressure protection even at temperatures up to 3500F (1770C), without rapidly oxidizing wear or extreme pressure (EP) additive components. Its excellent high temperature lubricating performance is demonstrated in the ASTM D 3336 grease life test - an average ASTM D 3336 life of over 450 hours, 3-5 times longer than competing multipurpose lithium greases. Also, in the ASTM D 3527 High Temperature Bearing Test, where premium lithium synthetic grease typically fails after 150 hours, it ran successfully for 794 hours.
Excellent shear stability
Its unique polyurea thickening system exhibits exceptional durability and stability when subjected to mechanical shear. It is consistent in the ASTM D 217 Cone Penetration Test, maintaining an NLGI rating after 100,000 strokes - a performance comparable to that of premium lithium synthetic greases, an outstanding marker of shear stability. In contrast, a competing polyurea grease with shear unstable thickening technology softened up to three NLGI grades under the same test conditions. Good mechanical shear stability is important in both motor lubrication and roller bearing applications where excessive softening of the grease can lead to grease leakage from the bearing.
excellent water resistance
This grease is formulated with enhanced water resistance polymers. The water-resistant polymer forms a sticky protective film in the event of severe water contamination. Its excellent results in water washout (ASTM D 1264) and water spray (ASTM D 4049) tests demonstrate that the grease "stays in place" even when sprayed with water under pressure. Overall, this grease is recommended for lifetime lubrication and motor bearing (EMB) applications. Compared with lithium synthetic grease, this grease has better water resistance, better low temperature performance, excellent pumpability characteristics and elastomer compatibility. In extensive bearing wear tests, it has shown superior performance, rapidly reducing oil-water separation compared to lithium-based greases. It is environmentally friendly and contains no heavy metals or chlorinated compounds.
Outstanding motor performer
While this grease has demonstrated extraordinary performance in a variety of industrial and transportation applications, this unique polyurea formulation is particularly suitable for motor bearings. Its advanced thickening formula and proprietary manufacturing process reduce noise, improve bearing performance and protection, and extend motor life.
application
